Jeans into cushions, up-cycling jeans into bags, cushions, i-pod holders. Bunting, re-using off cuts of curtain-making into decorative items for the class or home.Re-Purposing textiles- turning fabrics & clothing into new items. "Sarah was one of the sewing experts who worked with the V&A at the Patchwork Social on the early May bank holiday weekend.  She helped people of all ages, including a group of 150 Girl Guides, to sew 9-square patchwork blocks to be put together into quilts for charity.  Sarah was encouraging, patient, and knew when to step back and let people find their own pace.

Sarah also led three 'Patchwork with a Re-Purpose' workshops, giving an interesting and educational presentation about the up-cycling of fabrics. She showed people how to make cushions, bags, and pin cushions from jeans, shirts, and other fabrics.  The examples of her own work totally amazed people, and they came away thinking about how they could creatively repurpose their own old textiles into new treasures.

Sarah's positivity and creative skills helped everyone she taught over the three days feel like they could produce textile work they were pleased with. It was a pleasure to work with Sarah and I would highly recommend her, both for her stunning work and teaching skills."
