ReVampt set up as a Limited company in July 2007. The basis of the company is to produce beautiful well crafted pieces from a source of fabrics that is sustainable and eco friendly.

The source of our fabrics is the textile and fashion industry, we take their off-cuts, samples, extras, inspirational purchases and other unused accessories and make it into something new.

We also receive vintage fabric and accessories from retired dress-makers and former makers who no longer have the time or inclination to produce work themselves.

Working within textile design we always aim to ensure that the craft used to make our goods stands out. Crafts people turn the raw materials they use into something beyond the item they produce. The minds eye is drawn to want to touch and feel the product, the maker's love of the materials they work with stands out.

Therefore everything we sell is handmade in the UK by individuals or small businesses. We happily combine a 21st century eco friendly approach with traditional skills and crafts.

This approach stems from my upbringing, all my life I have recycled textiles, furniture, garden waste but this wasn't always for 'green' reasons. We made hand sewn patchwork cushions as children, my parents filled the house with antique (ie second-hand) furniture and my father re-leathered my mother’s clogs every year. They were hippies and I have inherited the way they saw the world to a large degree. It seems to me that this is a way of life we should embrace.

We are lead by making something beautiful for your home and life which is practical too.
